A native of the Magdalen Islands, Jonathan Lapierre is a well-known and respected figure in the region. With a long-standing commitment to his community, he has held several strategic roles, including municipal councillor and mayor of the Magdalen Islands, as well as playing a key role within para-municipal organizations and the Fédération québécoise des municipalités. On the provincial stage, he also served as chief of staff to the Minister of Municipal Affairs, leveraging his expertise to champion municipal issues. Back in the Magdalen Islands, he is actively involved in the region’s economic development and, through Catapulte, contributes to promoting and defending the interests of Quebec’s regions.
